Airline loyalty program promotions (August 2025)
Airline loyalty programs can offer trip discounts on certain dates, as well as the chance to earn more miles for future travel and deals to rack up points toward elite status. Below are some of the best offers we found for August.
Get instant elite status with Frontier
For a $69 application fee, you can (if approved) get an instant upgrade to Frontier Miles Elite Gold status through Dec. 31, 2026.
To qualify, you don't have to be an existing elite member of any program, but you must be a member of Southwest Rapid Rewards, Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines' Atmos Rewards, JetBlue TrueBlue, or Free Spirit, and you must have joined one of these airline programs before Aug. 18, 2025.
Elite Gold status includes perks like a free carry-on bag, preferred seat selection at booking and Zone 1 priority boarding.
According to Frontier's site, this offer is valid for a limited time and "may change or be withdrawn at any time." So, if you're interested in paying for instant Elite Gold status, apply now.
Earn bonus Lufthansa miles on a car rental
Book a Sixt rental car through Lufthansa Miles & More's platform, and you can save up to 15% and earn up to 10,000 bonus miles depending on the vehicle category:
- Economy and Compact: 1,000 bonus miles
- Intermediate and Standard: 2,250 bonus miles
- Full-size, MPV7+ and Premium: 5,000 bonus miles
- Luxury and Extraordinary: 10,000 bonus miles

Hotel loyalty programs occasionally offer discounted stays and new ways to earn extra points. Here are some August deals to consider when booking your next stay.
Earn 1,500 bonus Accor points in Spain and Portugal
Heading to Spain or Portugal? You can earn bonus Accor Live Limitless points on your next stay, but you'll have to act fast.
Earn 1,500 bonus ALL points (worth 30 euros toward a future stay) when you book a stay of two-plus nights at a participating hotel in Spain or Portugal. Activate this offer, then book by Aug. 26 for stays through Sept. 30.
Earn 50,000 Hilton points for learning about timeshares
Hotels sometimes offer great deals in exchange for listening to a timeshare presentation — and Hilton has sweetened the pot with 50,000 bonus Hilton Honors points.
You can book a three-night stay in Orlando, Las Vegas or Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, for just $199 plus tax. According to the offer page, "During your stay, you'll learn about membership with Hilton Grand Vacations" (i.e., sit through a roughly two-hour timeshare presentation). Whether the juice is worth the squeeze is up to you, but the 50,000 bonus Hilton points you'll receive after your stay (worth up to $250 by TPG's August 2025 valuations) could make this offer worth considering.
If you decide to go for it, book by Sept. 11 and travel within 12 months of purchase.

Card issuers offer deals and discounts on everything from airfare to dining. Here are some of the offers we've rounded up this week. Remember that you must activate these offers on your card and use your enrolled card to make the purchase to earn bonus rewards. Not all offers may be available on your account.
Targeted Chase Offers at Marriott brands
If you're planning a Marriott stay, we found a handful of Chase Offers at various brands on the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card (see rates and fees).
- Earn 10% cash back on your Le Meridien Hotels & Resorts stay, with a $57 cash-back maximum, when you spend $100 or more by Sept. 30.

Targeted Amex Offer at Fontainebleau Las Vegas

Earn a $100 statement credit after you spend a minimum of $500 on one or more purchases on room rate and room charges at Fontainebleau Las Vegas by Dec. 20. You can use this offer up to two times for a maximum of $200 in statement credits.
Ongoing travel deals
In addition to these new offers, many others from previous weeks are still available:
- Earn double Avios on Qatar Airways- and Iberia-operated flights in all fare classes. Book by Aug. 26 through Qatar Airways, and fly between Sept. 1 and Dec. 10.
- Earn 2,000 bonus IHG One Rewards points for every two nights you stay, or earn 8,000 bonus points for every four nights you stay, with no cap on the number of bonus points you can earn. To qualify, stays must have a total spending of $30 (or local currency equivalent) per night; stays booked with points or a combination of points and cash are ineligible. You can register for only one of these promotions, and then you must complete your stay(s) by Aug. 31.
- If you hold Marriott Bonvoy Titanium Elite or Ambassador Elite status and/or United MileagePlus Premier Gold, Platinum or 1K status, you can earn 500 bonus MileagePlus miles on qualifying stays at Marriott Bonvoy properties and 750 bonus Bonvoy points on qualifying United Airlines flights. - Earn double I Prefer points (up to 20 points per dollar spent) at participating Preferred Hotels around the world. Register, book and stay by Aug. 31.
- Stay three nights at any Best Western hotel in the U.S., Canada or the Caribbean islands by Sept. 1, and you'll receive 10,000 bonus Best Western Rewards points. You can use this promotion up to two times for a maximum of 20,000 bonus points. Log in at this page, and you'll be automatically registered for this promotion.
- Earn 5,000 to 8,000 Choice Privileges bonus points, up to a maximum of 32,000 bonus points, after two qualifying stays. Register online, then complete two separate qualifying stays by Sept. 2.

- Earn 500 bonus IHG One Rewards points by downloading the program's mobile app. Register, then download the app and use it to sign in to your IHG account by Dec. 31.
Additionally, many stand-alone Amex and Chase offers are still available across a variety of credit cards. Keep in mind that these offers are targeted; you also need to activate them prior to making an eligible purchase to receive cash back or bonus points or miles.
